Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 24 September 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") apply to every purchase made on https://nordkey.io (the "Website") from Nordkey AB, Swedish company registration number 559418-0498, VAT number SE559418049801, Kivra: 559418-0498, 106 31 Stockholm, Sweden ("Nordkey", "we", "us").

In these Terms:

  • "Customer" or "you" means anyone who places an order on the Website.
  • "Consumer" means a Customer who buys for purposes that are mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.
  • "Business Customer" means a Customer who buys wholly or mainly for business purposes. Anyone who provides a company name or VAT number at checkout is treated as a Business Customer.
  • "Product" means a software licence, product key, activation code or other digital content sold on the Website, and, unless stated otherwise, also a Service.
  • "Service" means a service we perform for you, such as Remote Assistance described in section 11.
  • "Publisher" means the company that owns the software and grants the licence, for example Microsoft.

By placing an order you accept these Terms. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply. Please read all three before you buy. If you do not accept the Terms, do not place an order.

Where you are a Consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live. Where these Terms conflict with such law, the law prevails. Section 19 sets out country-specific terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if higher, to place an order. If you are under that age, a parent or legal guardian must place the order for you.

When you create an account or place an order you must give accurate, complete and current information, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at once at support@nordkey.io if you believe someone else has used your account.

You may hold one account. We may merge or close duplicate accounts. We may limit the number of Products or the order value per Customer, per order or per period, and may decline orders that exceed those limits.

We may suspend or close an account, refuse orders or cancel orders where we reasonably believe that an account is being used fraudulently, in breach of these Terms, in breach of a Publisher's licence terms, or in a way that harms us, the Publisher or other customers. If we close your account for such a reason, you may not open a new one without our written permission.

3. Products and licences

What you are buying. We sell licences to use software. A Product gives you the right to install and use the software in accordance with the Publisher's licence terms (often called an End User Licence Agreement or EULA). The Publisher, not Nordkey, grants the licence and owns the software. You will be asked to accept the Publisher's licence terms when you install or activate the software, and those terms govern your use of it.

Genuine licences. All Products we sell are genuine licences. Unless the product page states otherwise, a product key entitles you to one activation.

Product information. Each product page states the essential characteristics of the Product, including the edition, the number of devices or users, the licence term, the supported languages, whether the licence can be transferred to another device, and the system requirements. Read the product page carefully before you order, in particular the operating system and edition the key is intended for. Images, screenshots and descriptions are illustrative. The software itself is defined by the Publisher.

Licence term. A licence described as perpetual or lifetime is not time-limited by the Publisher. Our responsibility for the key continuing to work is limited to the legal guarantee period that applies to your order under section 9. Beyond that period we give no warranty of continued function, and we do not control or guarantee for how long the Publisher keeps its activation servers, services or software versions available.

Publisher account. Some Products must be linked to an account with the Publisher, such as a Microsoft account, to be activated or reinstalled. You are responsible for creating and keeping access to that account. We cannot recover licences that are locked to a Publisher account you no longer have access to.

Activation. Activation is carried out with the Publisher through the software or the Publisher's website or telephone service. The Publisher decides whether an activation succeeds. We provide activation support as described in section 10.

Keeping your key. Your product keys are shown in your account. Keep them confidential. We are not responsible for keys that are lost, deleted, shared or used by others after delivery.

Downloads. Where a Product requires installation media, we tell you on the product page or in the delivery email where to download it. Download links to the Publisher's servers are provided for convenience and are subject to the Publisher's terms.

Compatibility. You are responsible for checking that your device and existing software meet the requirements stated on the product page before you buy.

Changes by the Publisher. Publishers may change, update, retire or restrict their software and services. We are not responsible for such changes, except where the law makes us responsible for the Product's conformity as described in section 9.

One licence per key. A product key may only be used the number of times and on the number of devices stated on the product page. Using a key beyond its licence, sharing it, or attempting to activate it after it has already been used, is a breach of these Terms and of the Publisher's licence.

4. Ordering and when a contract is formed

How to order. Select the Products you want, go to checkout, enter your details, choose a payment method, review your order and confirm it by clicking the order button. Before you confirm, you can check and correct your details.

Your order is an offer. When you confirm your order you make an offer to buy the Products. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation by email. If we deliver the product key before sending a separate confirmation, the delivery email is the order confirmation.

Order confirmation. The order confirmation contains the Products, prices, VAT, your billing details and the delivery email address. Check it immediately. If anything is wrong, contact support@nordkey.io. If you have not received an order confirmation within 30 minutes of ordering, check your spam folder and then contact us, because the confirmation may have gone to a wrong address.

Orders we may decline. We may decline or cancel an order, before or after the order confirmation, if:

  • the Product is no longer available from our suppliers;
  • the price or description contained an obvious error, as described in section 5;
  • our fraud checks or payment provider indicate a risk of fraud or misuse;
  • we cannot verify your identity or payment where we have asked for verification;
  • delivery would breach export control, sanctions or other laws;
  • you have breached these Terms or a Publisher's licence terms in the past.

If we cancel an order that you have paid for, we refund the full amount without delay, except where sanctions law prohibits the refund.

Verification. For some orders we may ask you to confirm your identity, your payment method or your billing details before we deliver. We do this to protect you and us against fraud. Delivery is held until verification is complete. If you do not complete verification within 7 days, we cancel the order and refund your payment.

Contract language and storage. The contract is concluded in the language of the Website you order from. We store the contract and the order confirmation. You can see your orders in your account, and we can send you a copy on request.

Our records. We log when an order is placed, when the product key is sent and shown in your account, and the IP address and device used. We use these records to handle complaints, withdrawals and payment disputes.

5. Prices, currency and taxes

Currency. Prices are shown in the currency of the store you are visiting, which may be EUR, GBP, PLN or SEK. The currency is fixed at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees if you pay in another currency.

Taxes for Consumers. Prices shown to Consumers include value added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST) or equivalent consumption tax at the rate that applies in your country of residence, where we are required to charge it. The rate is determined from your billing address and other location evidence and is shown at checkout and on your invoice. Prices may therefore differ between countries.

Taxes for Business Customers. Business Customers in the EU with a valid VAT number in a country other than Sweden are charged without Swedish VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism, and must account for VAT in their own country. You are responsible for the accuracy of the VAT number you provide. If a VAT number turns out to be invalid or not to belong to you, or if you have given an incorrect country of residence, we may invoice you for the tax we should have charged, together with any penalties or interest we incur as a result. Business Customers outside the EU may be charged local tax where the law requires us to collect it, and are otherwise responsible for any tax due in their country.

Price changes. We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time you confirm the order.

Price reductions. When we announce a price reduction to Consumers in the EU or the UK, the previous price shown is the lowest price we charged for the Product in the 30 days before the reduction, unless otherwise stated.

Obvious errors. If a price or description on the Website is obviously wrong, for example because of a typing or technical error, and you could reasonably have recognised the error, we are not bound to sell at that price. We will contact you and offer you the choice of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it with a full refund.

Discount codes. Discount codes cannot be combined with other codes, promotions or offers unless we say so. A code is valid only for the period, Products and stores stated when it was issued. We may withdraw a code that has been distributed without our permission.

6. Payment

Payment provider. Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd and its affiliates ("Stripe"). Depending on your country and the store, you can pay by debit or credit card, by Link, or by Klarna. Klarna payments are offered through Stripe and are subject to Klarna's own terms, which are shown to you when you select Klarna.

Security. Card payments use 3-D Secure where your card issuer supports it. Your full card number and security code are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our systems. See our Privacy Policy for how payment data is processed.

When payment is taken. The full price is charged when you confirm your order. Delivery takes place after payment has been authorised.

Failed payments and chargebacks. If a payment is reversed, disputed or charged back after a product key has been delivered, and the dispute is not justified, we may deactivate or request the Publisher to deactivate the key, block your account, and recover the amount together with any fees the reversal has cost us. We provide our records under section 4, including delivery logs, to the payment provider and your card issuer as evidence. We may report fraudulent payments and chargebacks to fraud prevention services and to the police. If you have a problem with a purchase, contact support@nordkey.io first so that we can solve it. That is faster than a chargeback and protects your licence.

Set-off. We may set off any refund we owe you against amounts you owe us, for example unpaid tax under section 5 or chargeback fees under this section.

Payments with unauthorised means. Orders paid with a payment method that the payer was not entitled to use are void. Keys delivered under such orders may be deactivated without notice.

Invoices. An invoice or receipt is sent with the order confirmation and is available in your account.

7. Delivery

How and when. Products are delivered electronically. The product key is sent to the email address you gave at checkout and is also shown in your account. Delivery normally takes place within a few minutes of payment. In rare cases technical delays of up to a few hours may occur. If your order requires verification under section 4, delivery takes place when verification is complete. If you have not received your Product within 24 hours of payment, contact support@nordkey.io.

Check your spam folder. Delivery emails sometimes end up in spam or junk folders. Please check them before contacting us. Your Products are always available in your account. We are not responsible for emails that are delayed, filtered or rejected by your email provider, or for a full or inaccessible mailbox. A Product shown in your account has been delivered even if the email did not reach you.

Correct email address. You are responsible for giving a correct email address that you have access to. If a key is delivered to an address you gave us in error, and someone else uses it, we cannot replace it free of charge.

Services. For a Service, delivery of the order consists of the booking link or instructions sent to you by email and shown in your account. The Service itself is performed at the booked time as described in section 11.

Delivery complete. Delivery is complete when the product key has been made available to you by email or in your account. From that moment the licence is in your control and you are responsible for keeping it safe.

Late delivery. If we fail to deliver within the time stated and do not deliver within a further period of 7 days after you have asked us to, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund. Where you are a Consumer and the law gives you the right to cancel immediately, for example because delivery within the stated time was essential, that right is not affected.

8. Right of withdrawal for Consumers

The general rule. If you are a Consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, distance-selling law gives you the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

The exception for digital content. The right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, such as a product key delivered by email or shown in your account, once delivery has begun, provided that you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. At checkout we ask you to give that consent and acknowledgement by ticking a box before you confirm your order. We confirm your consent and acknowledgement in the order confirmation.

What this means in practice. Because product keys are delivered immediately after payment, you will normally have no right of withdrawal once your order is complete. Please make sure you have ordered the right edition and quantity before you confirm.

Before delivery has begun. If you withdraw before the product key has been delivered to you, for example while an order is held for verification, you may cancel the order and we refund the full amount within 14 days. To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@nordkey.io with your order number.

Services. The rules for withdrawing from Remote Assistance and other Services are set out in section 11.

Consumers outside the EU, EEA and UK. Your right to cancel is set out in section 19 for your country. Where local law gives you a cooling-off right that cannot be excluded for digital content, we honour it.

This section does not affect your rights under section 9 if the Product is defective.

9. Legal guarantee and complaints

Conformity. We are responsible for delivering Products that conform to the contract: the key must be genuine, work for the edition described, and be capable of activation with the Publisher in accordance with the product page. Where the law of your country provides a legal guarantee of conformity, for example the EU Digital Content Directive as implemented in your country, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Swedish Consumer Sales Act, that guarantee applies.

Guarantee period. For Consumers in the EU and EEA, the legal guarantee lasts at least 2 years from delivery, or longer where your national law provides. Under Swedish law it lasts 3 years from delivery. Where your national law sets a time limit for notifying us of a defect, a notification within 2 months of discovering the defect is always in time.

What is not a defect. The following are not defects for which we are responsible:

  • the key was used on a different edition or language version than stated on the product page;
  • your device does not meet the system requirements stated on the product page;
  • the key has been activated on more devices or more times than the licence allows;
  • the Publisher has suspended your Publisher account or licence because of your breach of the Publisher's terms;
  • the Publisher has changed, updated or retired the software after delivery, unless the law makes us responsible for such changes;
  • the problem is caused by software, hardware or settings that are not part of the Product.

How to complain. Contact support@nordkey.io and give us your order number, a description of the problem and, where relevant, screenshots or error codes. You can also write to Nordkey AB, Kivra: 559418-0498, 106 31 Stockholm, Sweden. We aim to resolve complaints within 48 hours of receiving all the information we need.

Troubleshooting comes first. Before we can assess a complaint, you must carry out the reasonable troubleshooting steps we ask for and give us the information we need. This can include trying a different activation method, running the Publisher's troubleshooting tool, confirming the edition and version of the software installed, and sending us the exact error message and the activation status shown by the software. Most activation problems are solved at this stage. We may also check the key with our supplier or the Publisher. We decide on a remedy only once these steps have been completed. If you do not respond to our requests for information within 30 days, we close the complaint. You can reopen it within the guarantee period by providing the information.

Guarantee period outside the EU, EEA and UK. Where the law of your country does not prescribe a guarantee period for digital content, we warrant for 12 months from delivery that the key is genuine and capable of activation as described. Your rights under mandatory local law are not affected.

Remedies. If the Product is defective, we will first bring it into conformity, normally by giving you a working replacement key, free of charge and within a reasonable time. If we cannot do so, or if a replacement fails, you are entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to end the contract and receive a refund. If the defect is minor, you may not be entitled to end the contract unless your national law provides otherwise. When we provide a replacement key, the original key must no longer be used and we may deactivate it. When we refund a Product, the key must no longer be used and we may deactivate it. Refunds are paid within 14 days of our decision using the payment method you used to pay.

Refused complaints. If we conclude that the Product is not defective, we tell you why. You may then use the dispute resolution options in section 18.

10. Activation support

If a genuine key that you bought from us does not activate, we help you. Depending on the Product, this can include checking the key with our supplier or the Publisher, guiding you through telephone activation, or obtaining a confirmation ID on your behalf when you send us the installation ID shown by the software. Activation support is available through support@nordkey.io and the support chat on the Website, for keys bought from us, during the guarantee period that applies to your order. Whether an activation succeeds is decided by the Publisher, and we cannot override the Publisher's systems. Activation support is a service to help you and does not extend our responsibility beyond section 9.

11. Remote Assistance

What it is. Remote Assistance is a Service in which one of our technicians connects to your computer through an encrypted remote session and installs, activates and configures an Office package or antivirus software that you have bought from us. The Service covers one computer per order. The licence key is not included and must be bought separately. The full scope is described on the product page.

Booking. After payment you receive a link to book a time. Sessions are held during the business hours shown in the booking tool. You must book your session within 30 days of purchase, and the session must take place within the booking window shown in the booking tool. The 30-day limit is stated on the product page before you buy. If you have not booked within 30 days, the Service expires and cannot be used or refunded, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. You can reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked time through the booking link or by emailing support@nordkey.io.

Your preparations. Before the session you must make sure that:

  • the computer is switched on, connected to a stable internet connection and free of hardware faults;
  • you have administrator rights on the computer;
  • you have the licence key and, where needed, the login details for your Publisher account at hand;
  • you have backed up your files and data;
  • you are available in the session chat for the whole session and do not leave the session unattended.

By joining the session you permit our technician to access and control your computer for the purpose of the Service. You can watch everything the technician does and can end the session at any time.

Missed and interrupted sessions. If you have not joined within 15 minutes of the booked time, or the session cannot be carried out because your preparations are not complete, the session counts as missed. You may rebook one missed session free of charge. If a second session is missed for the same reasons, we may keep the full price as compensation for the reserved technician time, to the extent permitted by law.

What is not included. The Service does not include repairing hardware, reinstalling or upgrading the operating system, removing malware, recovering data, migrating files or email accounts, training, or supporting software that you have not bought from us. If the technician finds that the computer does not meet the requirements for the software, for example an unsupported operating system or insufficient disk space, we tell you and you may rebook once after fixing it. If the Service still cannot be performed for reasons on your side, we refund the price less a reasonable charge for the time spent.

Our responsibility. We perform the Service with reasonable care and skill. If the installation or activation fails for reasons within our control, we redo the Service free of charge or, if that is not possible, refund the price. We are not responsible for failures caused by your hardware, operating system, other software, internet connection or pre-existing faults, or for the software itself, which is the Publisher's responsibility. We do not intentionally delete or move your files. Because remote installation carries an inherent risk to data, you must back up before the session, and our liability for loss of data is limited as set out in section 15.

Remote session tool. Sessions are held through Zoho Assist. The connection is encrypted and requires you to accept it on your computer. We log the start and end time and the technician's chat with you. Sessions are not recorded. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Right of withdrawal for Consumers. Remote Assistance is a Service, so if you are a Consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK you may withdraw within 14 days of your order. If you book a session that takes place within those 14 days, you expressly request that we begin performing the Service during the withdrawal period, and we ask you to confirm this when you book. Once the Service has been fully performed, you no longer have a right of withdrawal. If you withdraw after the session has started but before it is complete, you pay a proportionate part of the price for the work done. If you withdraw before the session, we refund the full price within 14 days. To withdraw, email support@nordkey.io with your order number.

Business Customers. Business Customers may not cancel a booked Service later than 24 hours before the booked time. Section 16 applies.

12. Refunds

Refunds under these Terms are made to the payment method you used to pay, within 14 days of the refund decision. We are not responsible for differences caused by currency conversion or fees applied by your bank or card issuer. If the original payment method is no longer available, we ask you for another payment method that belongs to you.

13. Your obligations and prohibited use

You agree not to:

  • resell, redistribute or transfer Products you have bought from us unless you have a partner account with us, or the Publisher's licence terms and mandatory law allow it;
  • share a product key with anyone other than the licensed users, or publish it online;
  • use the Website or Products for any unlawful purpose, including fraud or money laundering;
  • buy Products for use in a country where their use, export or import is prohibited, or where you are subject to sanctions;
  • use automated tools to scrape the Website or place orders, or interfere with its security;
  • circumvent the Publisher's activation or licence controls;
  • create multiple accounts or use false details to obtain discounts, exceed quantity limits or avoid a suspension;
  • use a key for which you have received a replacement or a refund.

If you breach this section we may cancel your orders, deactivate the keys concerned, close your account and pursue any claim we have against you.

14. The Website and intellectual property

Availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue the Website or any part of it at any time, including for maintenance. We do not guarantee that the Website is available without interruption or error and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for its unavailability. Your rights in respect of Products you have already bought are not affected.

The Website and its content, including text, translations, product descriptions, graphics, logos, layout and software, belong to Nordkey or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may use the Website for your own purchases and may not copy or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission. The software you buy belongs to the Publisher and is licensed, not sold, to you under the Publisher's terms.

15. Liability

Consumers. If you are a Consumer, we are liable to you as required by the mandatory consumer protection law of your country. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and under mandatory product liability law. For damage caused by ordinary negligence, we are liable only where we have breached an obligation that is essential to the performance of the contract, and then only for the damage that was foreseeable and typical for a contract of this kind. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable to you and us when the contract was made, for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or of the Publisher's licence terms, for losses caused by your failure to keep backups of your data, or for business losses where you use a Product for business purposes. Where the law of your country allows it, our total liability to you for an order is limited to the price you paid for that order.

Business Customers. If you are a Business Customer, our total liability for all claims arising from an order, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or business interruption. Nothing in this paragraph excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Publishers and third parties. We are not responsible for the software itself, for the Publisher's services, servers or account policies, or for third-party websites we link to, except where the law makes us responsible for the Product's conformity.

Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of the Publisher's or our suppliers' systems, internet or power failures, cyber attacks, labour disputes, fire, flood, epidemic, war, terrorism or acts of government. We tell you about such events as soon as we can and resume performance when they end. If an event lasts more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the affected order and we refund any payment for Products not delivered.

16. Business Customers

If you are a Business Customer, the following also applies:

  • You confirm that the person placing the order is authorised to bind the business.
  • Sections 8 and 19 on consumer rights do not apply to you. Business orders cannot be cancelled once the product key has been delivered.
  • The legal guarantee in section 9 applies only to the extent required by the law that governs the contract. Otherwise, we warrant for 12 months from delivery that keys are genuine and capable of activation as described. Your only remedy is a replacement key or, if we cannot provide one, a refund of the price paid for the defective key.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the company name, address and VAT number you provide, and for any tax consequences of incorrect information.
  • You may not resell Products unless you have a partner account with us. Contact support@nordkey.io if you wish to become a partner.
  • You must test each key within 14 days of delivery and notify us in writing of any defect within that period, or within 14 days of discovering a defect that could not have been found by testing. Keys not notified in time are deemed accepted.
  • Any claim against us must be brought within 12 months of delivery, after which it is time-barred.
  • You indemnify us against claims, costs and losses arising from your breach of these Terms or of a Publisher's licence terms, including claims by the Publisher.
  • The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in our Products or in how we operate. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order and is included in your order confirmation. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated Terms have been published on the Website. The current version is always available on the Website with the date it was last updated. Check the Terms before each purchase.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

Governing law. These Terms and every contract concluded under them are governed by Swedish law. If you are a Consumer, you also enjoy the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live, and nothing in this section takes that protection away.

Courts. If you are a Consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of Sweden or of the country where you live. We may bring a claim against you only in the courts of the country where you live. If you are a Business Customer, the courts of Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.

Talk to us first. Most problems can be solved quickly. Contact support@nordkey.io and we will try to find a solution with you.

Alternative dispute resolution for Consumers. If we cannot resolve a complaint together, Consumers in Sweden can refer the dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se. We participate in ARN proceedings. Consumers in other EU and EEA countries can contact the alternative dispute resolution body in their own country, or their national European Consumer Centre (www.eccnet.eu), which provides free help with cross-border complaints. Consumers in the UK can contact Citizens Advice (www.citizensadvice.org.uk). Consumers in other countries can contact the consumer protection body listed in section 19.

The EU online dispute resolution platform operated by the European Commission closed on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.

19. Country-specific terms

This section supplements the rest of these Terms for Consumers in the countries listed. Where it conflicts with an earlier section, this section prevails for Consumers in that country.

19.1 European Union and European Economic Area

Your rights are based on the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the Digital Content Directive (2019/770) as implemented in your country. In particular:

  • The right of withdrawal and its exception for digital content are as described in section 8.
  • The legal guarantee of conformity lasts at least 2 years from delivery. Some countries provide longer periods, for example 3 years in Sweden and Portugal, and an unlimited period based on reasonable expected lifetime in the Netherlands and Finland. Your national period applies.
  • Where the law of your country gives you a longer period to notify defects, or provides additional remedies, they apply.
  • Consumers in Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein have the same rights under the EEA Agreement and their national implementing laws. In Norway, complaints can be brought to Forbrukertilsynet, www.forbrukertilsynet.no.

19.2 United Kingdom

Your rights are based on the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. In particular:

  • Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or does not work, to a price reduction of up to the full price.
  • If digital content we supply causes damage to your device or other digital content, and we failed to use reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to a repair or compensation.
  • You have 14 days to cancel a digital content purchase unless you have expressly agreed that delivery may begin during the cancellation period and acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel. We ask for that agreement and acknowledgement at checkout.
  • The limitation period for bringing a claim is 6 years in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and 5 years in Scotland.

19.3 Switzerland

Swiss law does not provide a statutory right of withdrawal for online purchases. Once a product key has been delivered, the purchase is final unless the Product is defective. You are entitled to a warranty against defects for 2 years from delivery under the Swiss Code of Obligations. Where you are a Consumer resident in Switzerland, you may bring claims in the courts of your place of residence.

19.4 United States

  • Because product keys are delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all sales are final once the key has been delivered, except where these Terms or applicable state law provide otherwise. Your rights under section 9 if a key is defective are not affected.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, beyond the warranty in section 9. Some states do not allow such disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
  • To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in section 15. Some states do not allow limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so that limitation may not apply to you.
  • These Terms do not contain a mandatory arbitration clause or a class action waiver. You may bring claims in a court of competent jurisdiction, including small claims court, in the state where you live.
  • To the extent permitted by the law of your state, any claim arising from an order must be brought within one year of the date the claim arose.
  • California residents: under California Civil Code section 1789.3, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

19.5 Canada

  • Your rights are based on the consumer protection law of your province or territory, for example the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and the Quebec Consumer Protection Act. Those laws include disclosure requirements for internet agreements and a right to cancel if the agreement is not delivered within 30 days of the delivery date stated, or if required disclosures were not made. We provide all required disclosures on the product page, at checkout and in the order confirmation.
  • Because product keys are delivered immediately, there is no cooling-off period once the key has been delivered unless your provincial law provides one.
  • The legal warranty of quality in the Civil Code of Quebec and the warranties under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act apply to Consumers in Quebec and cannot be excluded.
  • The governing law clause in section 18 does not deprive you of the protection of the consumer law of your province.

19.6 Australia

Our Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to cancel your contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the Product rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, and where the Product is not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to resupplying the Product or refunding the price. Australian law does not provide a general cooling-off right for online purchases, so section 8 does not create one. You may complain to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, www.accc.gov.au, or your state or territory consumer protection agency.

19.7 New Zealand

The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies to Consumers in New Zealand and cannot be excluded. If you buy for business purposes you agree that the Act does not apply, as permitted by section 43 of the Act. The Fair Trading Act 1986 also applies. You may complain to the Commerce Commission, www.comcom.govt.nz.

19.8 Brazil

Under article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code you may withdraw from a purchase made outside a physical store within 7 days of receiving the Product. Because a product key cannot be returned once it has been activated, we honour this right for keys that have not been activated with the Publisher. To withdraw, contact support@nordkey.io within 7 days of delivery. Your rights in case of defects under articles 18 to 26 of the Code are not affected. You may complain to Procon or through www.consumidor.gov.br.

19.9 Other countries

If you live in a country not listed above, you have the rights given to you by the mandatory consumer protection law of that country. Where that law gives you a right to cancel a purchase of digital content within a cooling-off period that cannot be excluded, we honour it for keys that have not been activated. Where that law requires us to provide a longer guarantee period or additional remedies, we do so. Contact support@nordkey.io if you believe a right under your local law applies.

20. General

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the order confirmation, the product page and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the whole agreement between you and us for your order.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid part is replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to its purpose.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right under these Terms, that does not mean we have given it up.

Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company, for example if we sell our business, provided that this does not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.

Notices. We send notices to the email address in your account or order. Send notices to us at support@nordkey.io or to our postal address.

Language. These Terms may be available in several languages. In case of conflict, the English version prevails, except where the law of your country requires that the version in your language applies.

Export control. Software may be subject to export control and sanctions laws of the EU, the United States and other countries. You agree to comply with them and confirm that you are not located in, or a resident of, a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, and that you are not on any sanctions list.
